Automation Maintenance Technician

Up to $29.50/Hour • Greater Green Bay, WI Area • Predictable Rotating 12s • Full Benefits Package

EXPERIENCE DEPTH: Proven Electro-Mechanical Industrial Machinery Maintenance and Precision Troubleshooting Mastery AUTOMATION SKILLS: Direct Working Knowledge and Diagnostic Familiarity with PLCs Alongside Extensive AC/DC Drive Troubleshooting WORK HISTORY FILTER: Strict Stability Requirement; Maximum of Two Employers Managed Over the Last 5 Years to Align with Team Culture WORK SCHEDULE: Structured 12-Hour Rotating Shift | Rhythm Naturally Builds in a Recurring Block of 6 Consecutive Days Off Every Month GOVERNMENT COMPLIANCE: Must Be a United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)

This opportunity offers a direct-hire career track for an industrial maintenance professional who is tired of toxic shop politics, random micromanagement, or chaotic schedules that leave technicians with scattered single days off. Operating as an exceptionally stable, state-of-the-art manufacturing leader in the Greater Green Bay area, this facility remains highly active and is currently investing millions back into major infrastructure expansion. Employee turnover here is remarkably low because the focus centers on long-term culture fit—people join the team, find their professional rhythm, and build lasting careers.

The organization runs a fast-paced, highly positive, and non-political environment where the maintenance shift functions as a tight-knit team. Technicians look out for one another and collaborate on solutions inside an environment built on mutual respect. Best of all, the highly predictable 12-hour rotating schedule is designed to optimize work-life balance. By grouping working days together, the schedule naturally delivers a massive, recurring block of six consecutive days off every single month. For a specialist who values long, uninterrupted stretches of time away from the shop to travel, hunt, fish, or spend time with family, this rhythm is completely unmatched in the region.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Execute comprehensive electro-mechanical maintenance, precision troubleshooting, and emergency breakdown repairs across an array of complex, automated production machinery.
  • Diagnose, tune, and resolve operational faults directly within sophisticated AC and DC motor drive systems and industrial power controls.
  • Interface regularly with PLCs to safely trace electrical logic, isolate system faults, and minimize unexpected equipment downtime on the production floor.
  • Read, analyze, and apply high-level electrical schematics, complex mechanical blueprints, and logic diagrams to safely execute automated machinery overhauls.
  • Maintain clear communication during shift hand-offs to preserve operational standards and support ongoing preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Travel occasionally (roughly two days every other month) to collaborate on regional operational goals or participate in advanced technical training seminars.

What We Are Looking For

  • Electro-mechanical expertise backed by an Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automated Systems, or at least 4 years of equivalent hands-on industrial breakdown experience.
  • Drive and automation literacy with strong, practical field experience identifying and repairing faults in AC/DC drives and interacting with industrial PLCs.
  • Absolute work history stability featuring a rock-solid, committed employment background showing a maximum of 2 employers over the last 5 years.
  • Shift commitment with the complete readiness and lifestyle alignment to succeed within a structured 12-hour rotating schedule that includes scheduled weekend coverage.
  • Team-first mindset paired with outstanding communication skills and collaborative instincts; this shift relies heavily on mutual trust and accountability.
  • Local commute and permanent residency established within a comfortable, daily 45-minute driving radius of the Greater Green Bay, WI area.
