HiFyve is hiring an Automation Technician in the manufacturing industry in Grandview, MO!


Salary: $35–$40/hour

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Location: Grandview, MO


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated equipment, robotics, and support systems within the manufacturing facility
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliable and safe operation of automation systems
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Program and adjust PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems as needed
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of automation equipment
  • Document all repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities accurately
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on automation equipment use
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs


Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training or certifications in automation, industrial maintenance, robotics, or related field preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Hands-on experience with robotics integration and maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively
