Picture a shift where production hums, lines move, and you’re the expert who keeps everything running. You begin by reviewing open work orders in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, lining up preventive and predictive tasks before the first call for help comes in. A line slows—an issue with a servo drive. You trace the sequence of operations using schematics and diagrams, verify wiring, and bring the equipment back online. Later, you calibrate an electronic controller, document the results, then pitch in on an internal project alongside Engineering. Before clocking out, you help with a quick building and grounds task and remain available for any emergency call-ins.
What You’ll Do
Deliver corrective, preventive, predictive, safety, and emergency repairs on electrical machinery and electronic equipment used in production.
Diagnose facility wiring issues, electronic controls (including servo/stepper motor controls), process equipment, and general mechanical systems.
Record work accurately in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
Troubleshoot machine and system breakdowns quickly in a live production environment and implement effective corrective actions.
Leverage schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to determine sequences of operation and resolve issues across electronic hardware, vacuum systems, hydraulics, basic mechanical assemblies, and pneumatics.
Calibrate electronic controllers and maintain precise documentation.
Support internal projects and collaborate closely with Engineering on process and project evaluations and problem solving in a team setting.
Assist with building and grounds maintenance as needed.
Move, assemble, install, adjust, repair, and service standard production machinery and equipment.
Work overtime as needed and respond to emergency call-ins.
