Your Mission: Elevate Robotic Performance

At Matrix Design, we believe great outcomes start with great people. Our commitment—Developing Great People, Building a Great Company, Delivering Great Results—guides how we approach every automation project. If you want your work to improve safety, quality, and throughput for real manufacturers, this role is for you.

Could this be you?

  • Do you enjoy installing, wiring, and bringing new robotic cells online—then proving them out on the floor?
  • Are you energized by diagnosing tough PLC/robot/HMI issues and making systems run better than before?
  • Do you like turning a good process into a great one through programming tweaks, vision calibration, and documentation rigor?

Impact areas

  1. Commissioning & Startups
    • Install, configure, and test automated equipment per engineering specs.
    • Support on-site commissioning at client facilities, ensuring safe, stable operation.
  2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
    • Execute preventative maintenance routines and perform repairs on robots and control systems.
    • Diagnose integration issues involving robotics, PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics, and electrical components.
  3. Programming & Continuous Improvement
    • Assist with robot programming, path optimization, and calibration.
    • Program industrial vision platforms including FANUC, Cognex, and Keyence to enhance detection and quality.
  4. Documentation, Safety & Teaming
    • Log all work performed, update schematics, and record troubleshooting steps.
    • Model a safety-first mindset and collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver on project objectives.
