Automation Solutions Architect

Location: Laurel, MD (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite per Week)
Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Automation Solutions Architect to join a growing automation team. This is a unique opportunity to serve as a foundational technical leader, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide automation solutions while helping establish best practices and standards for future team growth.

This role requires a strong blend of architecture, development, and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will be a proven automation professional with extensive experience building scalable RPA solutions and driving automation initiatives from concept through deployment.

Note: This is a hands-on automation architecture role and is not focused on automation testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end automation solutions using leading RPA technologies.
• Build scalable automation frameworks, workflows, and reusable components.
• Develop attended and unattended bots to automate business processes.
• Leverage intelligent document processing and automation technologies to streamline operations.
• Integrate automation solutions with enterprise applications and systems.
• Establish automation standards, governance, and best practices.
• Serve as the technical lead for automation initiatives and provide architectural guidance.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define solutions.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the growth of the automation practice.

• Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on software development and coding background.
• Extensive experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
• Strong preference for candidates with significant UiPath experience.
• Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-grade automation solutions.
• Experience building and deploying a high volume of automation workflows and bots.
• Hands-on experience with attended and unattended automation.
• Experience with intelligent document processing and document understanding technologies.
• Ability to operate at both the architectural and hands-on development levels.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Preferred Qualifications

• UiPath Advanced Developer Certification.
• UiPath Solution Architect Certification.
• Additional RPA-related certifications.
• Experience establishing automation frameworks, standards, and governance models.
• Previous experience leading automation initiatives or mentoring technical teams.
