Automation Solutions Consultant

This senior technical role involves overseeing the implementation of automation technologies across diverse industries, ensuring the effective and safe operation of industrial control systems. You will be responsible for independently guiding projects from inception to completion, utilizing exceptional client management and cross-functional collaboration skills. The position demands a strong command over multiple platforms, enabling you to design and execute customized engineering solutions effectively.

Collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams, you will design system architectures, craft detailed work scopes, and support efficient project delivery. Autonomy and technical leadership are key, as you convert client requirements into practical engineering strategies with minimal oversight.

Based in North Louisiana's Ruston office, this position requires travel to customer sites throughout the region, ensuring project needs are met.

Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing engineering services like project management, estimation, control system design, and project start-up.
- Providing high-level technical guidance across various projects.
- Leading the development and deployment of complex automation and control systems.
- Acting as a senior technical point of contact, ensuring effective communication and expert guidance.
- Drafting comprehensive work scope documents and detailed project proposals.
- Programming and troubleshooting across platforms such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS.
- Supporting existing control system platforms with technical expertise.
- Managing complete project cycles from initial discovery to commissioning.
- Assisting the sales team with technical proposals and client documentation.

Strong industry knowledge, a commitment to staying updated on technological advancements, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and resource planning are crucial.

Preferred platform experience includes familiarisation with products from Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE, ABB, Rockwell, Emerson, and Honeywell. Successful candidates will have over 7 years of pertinent experience and qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or similar fields.
