Job Title: Automation Technician ASRS / AMR Systems
Location: Libertyville, IL
Job Summary:
We're looking for an Automation Technician with experience in ASRS, AMRs/AGVs, PLC troubleshooting, and automated material handling systems. The ideal candidate will support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation equipment to ensure maximum system uptime in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, maintenance, or automated material handling systems.
- Hands-on experience with ASRS systems, AMRs/AGVs, conveyors, cranes, shuttles, and lifts.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting skills (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), along with experience in electrical systems, sensors, motors, drives, and industrial controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Experience with WMS/WCS, RFID, barcode scanning, vision systems, or HMIs is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ASRS and AMR systems to ensure maximum uptime.
- Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to support production operations.
- Assist with system installation, commissioning, startup, and automation integration activities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Operations, and vendors to improve system performance, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
