    Role: Automation Technician (Assembly)
    Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

    Job Description
    Seeking an Automation Technician to support high-speed assembly equipment and manufacturing systems. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting automated production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations within the manufacturing environment. The technician will work closely with the automation and engineering teams to support preventive maintenance, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement activities.


    Responsibilities

    • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on automation systems and related components.
    • Maintain robotic and process support equipment on a regular maintenance schedule.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic system issues.
    • Support qualification and validation of automated manufacturing systems.
    • Record procedures, test results, and operational data.
    • Maintain software, equipment documentation, and operational specifications.
    • Use power tools and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
    • Follow all workplace safety standards and procedures.
    • Collaborate with engineering and production support teams to improve equipment performance.

    Experience and Education

    • Associate's degree in a technical field preferred
    • 2 4+ years of related automation or equipment maintenance experience.
    • Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems.
    • Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
    • Prior experience working in manufacturing or automated assembly environments preferred.
    • Familiarity with robotic systems and preventive maintenance processes is beneficial.
