Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Experience: 2 5+ years
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Pay Range: $30-40/hr on W2/C2C

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support and maintain automated injection molding or assembly equipment in a high-volume medical device manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial robots, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting to ensure maximum equipment uptime and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and maintain molding or assembly automation systems.
• Program and optimize industrial robots (Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, Wittmann, or similar).
• Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Support new product launches, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, FDA, and ISO standards.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED; Technical certification or Associate degree preferred.
• 2-5+ years of experience in injection molding or assembly automation.
• Experience with robot programming, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
