Job Requirements

This role involves diagnosing, evaluating, testing, calibrating, and repairing building automation systems, as well as providing support for owner and user training within commercial properties. Candidates should exhibit strong problem-solving skills, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and business outcomes. The ultimate objective is to develop expertise and become a trusted advisor to clients.

 


Work Experience
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology required. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • At least two (2) years experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction or HVAC industry, control theory, automatic temperature controls, fire alarms, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e. LON, BacNet, etc).
  • Knowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair skills a plus.
  • Must have or be able to obtain 10-hour OSHA certification. 30-hour OSHA is a plus.
  • Be highly motivated and an independent thinker.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast pace setting and adapt/be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings is required.
