Automation Technician/ PLC Programmer

Reports to: Special Project Manager

Facility: Special Project Facility

Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:00AM-2:30PM (subject to change based on business needs)

Pay Rate: Hourly

Summary

ProVia is seeking an individual with a high degree of personal character and integrity as well as knowledge of Equipment Automation, System Integration, PLC Programming, Robot Integration, and Tech Support. This position is responsible for Developing the Hardware/ software platform for the controls off the equipment being build inhouse / maintaining high quality Automated Equipment in all ProVia Facilities. Candidate is expected to uphold and represent ProVia' s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop Hardware Platform for Control System
  • Robot Integration
  • PLC Programming
  • Conduct tests, simulations, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality of PLC programs and automation systems.
  • Provide training and support to operators, maintenance technicians, and other stakeholders on PLC operation and troubleshooting.
  • Sensor logic/ Vision systems
  • Safety PLC per OSHA regulations
  • Ensure that PLC programs and automation systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and inspect parts to print.
  • Proficient use of tape measures and calipers.
  • Experience with Automation, Tech Support, System integration, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Basic computer/tablet skills.
  • Service Oriented.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.

Physical Demands

Ability to grasp and lift 50 lbs . Ability to stand, kneel, sit, and reach for long periods of time and on a repetitive basis. Ability to sit or stand, using a desktop computer or a laptop, as well as other office equipment and supplies continuously.
