Automation Test Technician

Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting electrical systems, robotics, automation equipment, and solving complex technical problems?

What You'll Do

Test and validate robotic paint automation systems, industrial robots, and automated manufacturing equipment

Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, software, and safety testing according to engineering specifications

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, controls, robotic, networking, and automation issues

Verify system functionality, performance, and quality standards before customer release

Support robot startup, calibration, commissioning, and system integration activities

Validate I/O devices, sensors, actuators, safety circuits, and field devices

Document test results, corrective actions, and performance metrics

Collaborate with Controls Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Production teams to resolve technical issues

Complete work orders and testing documentation within the ERP system

Maintain compliance with safety standards including Lockout/Tagout, Robot Safety, HAZMAT, and PPE requirements

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

1-5 years of experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, automation, maintenance, testing, or troubleshooting

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and engineering documentation

Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

Experience with industrial automation, robotics, controls, maintenance, or electrical systems preferred

Associate Degree, Technical Certificate, Electrical Apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment
