Automotive Area Manager

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Area Manager to oversee automotive detailing operations across multiple dealership locations throughout  the Michigan Area – Detroit Metro, Lansing & Grand Rapids. 

Job Description : As an Automotive Area Manager to oversee detailing operations across multiple dealership locations throughout Michigan. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining consistent production, quality, staffing, and operational performance across assigned locations. The Area Manager will work closely with detail teams, shop managers, and dealership leadership to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and to company standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee detailing operations across multiple Michigan dealership locations.
• Monitor daily production and ensure locations meet expected volume and quality standards.
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to detail teams and management.
• Ensure vehicles are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to company standards.
• Identify production issues and work with teams to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Monitor staffing, attendance, productivity, and overall team performance.
• Support location managers with day-to-day operational challenges.
• Travel between assigned Michigan locations based on business needs.
• Maintain strong communication with dealership and company leadership.
• Ensure company detailing processes, safety practices, and quality standards are consistently followed.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on automotive detailing experience.
• Previous management or supervisory experience.
• Understanding of automotive detailing production, workflow, and quality standards.
• Ability to manage and support multiple locations and teams.
• Willingness to work 6–7 days per week based on operational needs.
• Flexibility to travel and move between dealership locations throughout Michigan.
• Must be local to Michigan.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Multi-location management experience.
• Experience managing automotive reconditioning or dealership detailing operations.
• Experience tracking production goals, KPIs, or team performance.
• Experience training and developing detail technicians.
• Experience working directly with dealership personnel.
