Automotive Business Development Representative

Sponsler Automotive is looking for TWO Business Development Representatives (BDC) to join our growing team helping to ensure all stores within our auto group are successful.
In this role, you will communicate with customers who have expressed interest in a vehicle online or by phone, answer questions, gather information, and schedule dealership appointments. You will also assist our sales managers with initial deal information and appointment preparation to ensure customers have a smooth buying experience when they arrive.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys talking with customers, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment. A knowledge or passion for cars never hurts either. 
Compensation:
$17/hour + performance bonuses
Typical earnings: $41,000 – $50,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound sales calls and internet leads
  • Respond to customers via phone, email, text, and chat
  • Schedule and confirm dealership appointments
  • Gather customer information including trade, financing, and vehicle needs
  • Provide basic vehicle and financing information
  • Follow up with customers who are not ready to purchase
  • Track all activity in the CRM system
  • Work closely with Business Development Director and the BDC team lead to help customers move to the next step in the buying process
 
Qualifications
  • Customer service, retail, hospitality, or call center experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Comfortable using computers and CRM systems
  • Organized and able to multitask
  • Valid driver’s license
 
No Automotive Experience Needed
 
Many successful BDC representatives come from industries such as:
  • Hospitality (servers, bartenders, hotel staff)
  • Retail sales
  • Customer service or call centers
