Matt Bowers Hyundai in Metairie is looking for a reliable and motivated Car Porter to join our dealership team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working around vehicles and wants to grow within the automotive industry.
The Car Porter plays an important role in maintaining the dealership's vehicle inventory and ensuring our lot remains organized, clean, and ready for customers.
Responsibilities
Move vehicles between the sales lot, service department, storage areas, and delivery areas
Park and organize vehicles on the dealership lot
Drive and handle all vehicles responsibly to prevent damage
Assist with keeping the lot clean, organized, and presentable at all times
Maintain accurate awareness of vehicle locations on the lot
Help clean the interior and exterior of vehicles as needed
Run occasional off-site dealership errands when required
Perform basic vehicle checks including fuel levels, battery checks, and fluid levels
Assist the sales and service departments when needed
Requirements
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Ability to safely drive and maneuver a variety of vehicles
Strong attention to detail and accountability when handling dealership vehicles
Ability to work outdoors and remain active throughout the day
Good communication and teamwork skills
Previous dealership or automotive experience preferred but not required
