Manufacturing Cost Accountant needs 1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Manufacturing Cost Accountant requires:
o Fluent in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
o Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and procedures
o Possess a positive attitude and be self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
o Detail oriented, and possess good organizational skills
o Committed to team success through reliable attendance, accuracy and speed
o Able to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals
o Degree in Accounting
Manufacturing Cost Accountant duties:
o Assist Accounting/Finance management in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, audits and other projects as needed.
o Conduct BOM (Bill of Material) update and cost roll-up to include maintaining and setting up inventory parts, product structures, manufacturing routing process and compound structures.
o Maintain customer owned tooling and vendor master records.
o Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation calculations utilizing SAGE fixed asset software
o Participate in monthly closing, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
o Prepare various management reports to assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements.
o Assist in audits by external and internal auditors
o Execute special projects for the Cost Planning/ ERP system/AR department and other areas as necessary.
