About Us:We are a busy, well-established automotive dealership in Nassau County seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Deal Coster / Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our vehicle sales and financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Process and cost all new and used vehicle deals accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify deal documentation for completeness and compliance
- Post vehicle sales, trade-ins, commissions, and related transactions
- Reconcile schedules including inventory, receivables, and payables
- Work closely with the sales and finance departments to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized records of all deals and accounting entries
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting
- Ensure adherence to dealership policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an automotive deal coster, title clerk, or dealership bookkeeper required
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting and deal structures
- Experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
