Automotive Detailer

Hawkins Automotive Detail Center — Danville, PA - Full-Time

Pay Range: $35,000–$45,000 per year, based on performance

Want to be part of a team that takes pride in the final product?

Hawkins Automotive is looking for a motivated Automotive Detailer to join our team. This is not just “washing cars.” Our detail department plays a major role in how customers see our dealership, our service department, and our brand.

We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, takes pride in clean work, and understands that the details matter.

What You’ll Do

As an Automotive Detailer, you will help prepare vehicles for customers, sales, and service by making sure every vehicle looks its best.

Responsibilities include:

  • Washing, cleaning, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles
  • Preparing customer vehicles after service or repairs
  • Cleaning new and used vehicles for delivery
  • Interior and exterior cleaning
  • Keeping the detail area clean, organized, and efficient
  • Working with service, sales, and management to meet daily needs
  • Moving vehicles safely around the dealership
  • Taking pride in the finished product

What We’re Looking For

The right person for this position will be dependable, energetic, and willing to work.

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Pride in their work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attendance and reliability
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude

Prior detailing experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Why Hawkins?

At Hawkins Automotive, we believe the service and detail teams are a major part of the customer experience. When a customer gets their vehicle back clean, sharp, and ready to go, it makes a lasting impression.

We offer:

  • Steady full-time work
  • Paid vacation
  • 401(k) plan
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Team-focused environment
  • Opportunity to learn and grow
  • Supportive management
  • A workplace where hard work is noticed

This Job Is a Good Fit If You:

  • Like staying busy
  • Take pride in clean vehicles
  • Don’t mind physical work
  • Want to be part of a dealership team
  • Understand that “good enough” is not good enough
  • Show up ready to work every day

Interview Process

Our interview process is hands-on because this position is all about the finished product.

Qualified candidates will be invited in to perform a full vehicle detail. This allows the candidate to show their work, pace, attention to detail, and overall pride in the job.

The candidate will be paid for the detail, and lunch will be provided.

There is no time limit on the detail. We are not looking for someone to rush through the job — we are looking for someone who takes pride in doing it right.

Once the detail is completed, our Detail Manager will review the vehicle with the candidate. After that review, we will discuss the position, expectations, and possible next steps.
