Schedule & Pay
- Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday (2:00pm–12:30am or 10:00pm–8:30am)
- Base Pay: $25/hr – $27/hr
- Shift Differentials: +$1.00 on 2nd shift; +$2.00 on 3rd shift
A day in the life
You arrive for your shift, review work orders, and jump into diagnostics. One vehicle needs drivability troubleshooting; another requires a brake overhaul. Between jobs, you consult with teammates, explain recommendations to customers, and keep your bay tidy and safe. By the end of the day, you’ve delivered accurate fixes, documented your work, and lined up tomorrow’s priorities.
What you’ll handle
- Pinpoint and repair issues across engines, transmissions, braking systems, and vehicle electrical components.
- Complete preventive services: oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Use scan tools, meters, and other diagnostic equipment to verify root causes.
- Explain findings and maintenance recommendations clearly to customers.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace to maximize efficiency.
- Stay current on tools, service bulletins, and evolving vehicle technologies.
- Collaborate with teammates to refine processes and elevate customer satisfaction.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; automotive certifications preferred.
- Hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic/technician.
- Broad knowledge of vehicle systems and modern repair methods.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and data interpretation.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear communication and a customer-first mindset.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical demands & working conditions
- Lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods in indoor and outdoor settings, as applicable.
- Reach with arms; grasp with hands; push and pull components and equipment.
- Crawl and crouch, including at times in tight or confined areas.
- Bend, stretch, squat, and kneel as job tasks require.
- Climb and work at elevated heights.
- Work around moderate to occasionally high noise.
- Encounter biohazards and/or chemicals and outdoor elements.
- Hear and respond to spoken instructions and audible alarms.
- Perform repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Vision needs include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
