There is an opening opening for an Automotive Mechanic in the Transportation Department of East Irondequoit Central School District. This is a 12-month, 8-hour per day position working 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.
Responsibilities are but not limited to the following:
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections, oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Diagnostics: Use computer software and diagnostic tools to isolate engine, electrical, and mechanical failures.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all brake systems, emergency exits, and suspension components meet DOT regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date work orders and repair logs.
