The Automotive Service Dispatcher is experienced and results-focused, responsible for dispatching work to technicians and maintaining daily schedules for all technicians.
Description:
- Distribute shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy
- Assign work to the correct technician level
- Ensure that technicians follow warranty policy and procedure guidelines
- Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
- Review hard copies turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been completed properly
- Ensure technicians complete the multi-point vehicle inspection forms
- Maintain a record of carryover vehicles
- Coordinate parts requirements with the Parts Department
- Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion
- Ensure that all repair orders are accounted for and properly documented
- Assists in all other areas of the Service Department
- Achieves the production objectives set by management
- Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
