Automotive Engineer Intern Mechanical Engineering
Location: Irvine, CA
Experience: Entry Level / 0 1 Years
Graduates: 2025 or 2026 graduates
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate to support automotive exterior lighting design and development.
Responsibilities:
- Support design of head lamps, tail lamps, center light panels, and corner lamps.
- Create and modify automotive components using CATIA V6.
- Support styling, A-class surface, design feasibility, and manufacturing feasibility activities.
- Assist with component/sub-system design, testing, and release.
- Work with Tier-I suppliers on cost, mass, joining methods, molding, and manufacturability.
- Review simulation results and support design improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2025/2026 graduate preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive exterior lighting and manufacturing processes.
- CATIA V6 knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Automotive internship or academic project experience is a plus.
