Facilitates learning activities so that students learn the principles, theory, skills, and work ethic necessary to become proficient for entry level positions
Creates a positive learning environment
Monitors, assesses and advises learners on technical and academic progress and performance
Uses current academic and industry practices in assigned courses of instruction
Develops and upgrades lesson material, training aids and maintains equipment within assigned course of instruction
Assists in the recruitment and placement of learners
Designs and develops new curriculum within the Automotive Service program
Participates in industry and/or professional organizations in order to maintain and enhance program health and academic integrity.
Assists in curriculum health improvements in the assigned program.
Attend technical update classes annually to maintain certifications.
Participate in recruiting events.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
AAS Degree from a 2-year accredited Automotive Service Program
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
5 years of professional industry experience
1-3 years teaching experience preferred
Minimum of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification for subject taught
Master ASE Certification preferred
ASE L-1 & L-3 preferred
Experience using Microsoft office products
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well with others in an academic environment
