Job Summary The Quick Lube Technician is responsible for providing fast, accurate, and professional preventative maintenance services while delivering exceptional customer service. This position performs oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, tire pressure checks, and vehicle inspections in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform oil and filter changes on a variety of vehicles.
Check and top off vehicle fluids including coolant, transmission, brake, power steering, and windshield washer fluid.
Inspect and replace engine air filters and cabin air filters.
Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.
Check and adjust tire pressure.
Inspect belts, hoses, batteries, wiper blades, and lights.
Recommend preventative maintenance services based on manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Provide friendly, professional customer service.
Communicate vehicle recommendations clearly to customers and management.
Assist with shop opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties.
Help maintain inventory and notify management when supplies are low.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous automotive experience is a plus but not required.
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Bend, stoop, kneel, and work underneath vehicles.
Work in varying temperatures and shop conditions.
Knowledge & Skills
Basic understanding of automotive maintenance.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Attention to detail.
Time management and efficiency.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Certifications
ASE Maintenance & Light Repair certification (preferred but not required).
Valid driver's license.
