Ray & Dana's Inman Auto Care is hiring an experienced Automotive Master Technician / Level A Technician to join our team.
This is a senior-level position for an experienced technician who can independently diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns and perform high-quality repairs on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
$40–$50 per hour | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends.
What You'll Do:
- Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
- Use professional scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Perform diagnostic testing and accurately interpret results.
- Diagnose and repair check-engine lights and other vehicle warning systems.
- Perform complex engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, cooling, starting, and charging system repairs.
- Perform vehicle inspections and identify safety or maintenance concerns.
- Follow manufacturer procedures and industry best practices.
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently with a high standard of workmanship.
- Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations with the service team.
- Work independently while contributing to a professional team environment.
- Assist with mentoring and supporting less-experienced technicians when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
What We're Looking For:
Required:
- 7+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and drivability problems.
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems.
- Experience using professional scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Own professional hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Preferred:
- ASE Master Technician certification.
- Multiple ASE certifications.
- Experience with domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
- NJ State Inspection experience.
- Experience with advanced computerized diagnostic systems.
- Ability to mentor and support other technicians.
ASE certification is preferred but not required.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No Saturdays
- No Sundays
