Performs and/or assists in performing minor mechanical repairs and adjustments on a variety of gasoline and diesel automobiles, and other mechanical equipment; assist in diagnosing mechanical difficulties in automotive equipment; repair and replace tires and perform a variety of other tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility; and related work as required.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma.
A valid driver's license.
EITHER: Two (2) years of full time experience in automotive repair and/or maintenance.
OR: An Associate's degree or a two year technical certification in automotive repair.
NOTE: Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements may be interchangeable on a year of year basis.

A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
