Automotive Painter

Oversee daily operations of the paint department and/or paint booth. Prepare truck bodies, parts, and equipment for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
Apply paint, coatings, and finishes, using the appropriate equipment for the job.
Select & mix paint products according to manufacturer and/or specifications.
Maintain paint equipment, PPE, tools, and work area in clean and working condition
Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and use of PPE
Identify and correct defects such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage and perform touch-ups and rework as needed
Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations
Manage inventory of paint, coatings, and related supplies and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to order materials needed for paint operations, ensuring cost efficiency and availability for timely delivery of materials
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of paint booth systems and ventilation equipment
Wear and maintain all required safety and health PPE, including a respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
Follow all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and reports any deviations to management.
Cooperates and aid other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles. Work closely with fabrication and installation teams to meet production deadlines.
