Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or automotive refinishing, preferably within a dealership environment
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes
Skilled in the use of hand tools, grinders, buffing equipment, and power tools for surface preparation and finishing
Knowledge of welding techniques and auto glass installation is a plus
Experience with surface preparation masking, surface sanding, grinding, and spray painting techniques including conventional spraying and airless paint spraying
Ability to lift heavy objects safely during auto body repairs or parts handling
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
Auto estimating experience is advantageous for assessing repair needs accurately
Experience with PPG® Paint Manager prefered but not required
Additional skills such as auto glass replacement, detailing, auto estimating, or mechanic experience are considered valuable assets
Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
Apply automotive paint using conventional spraying methods or airless paint spraying equipment, ensuring even coverage and color match
Perform surface preparation tasks including cleaning, sanding, and masking to achieve a smooth base for painting
Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, filler application, and welding as needed before painting
Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a high-gloss finish, enhancing the vehicle’s appearance
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols including proper use of respiratory protection and handling of power tools
Assist with auto glass installation, detailing, and minor auto restoration tasks when required
