We are currently seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as Service Porters, Detailers, and Maintenance Helpers to support our Service Department and Body Shop operations at D'Addario GMC Buick Cadillac in Shelton, CT.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in the automotive industry.
Compensation
- Starting Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
- Compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications
Schedule
- Flexible Full-Time and Part-Time schedules available
- Service Department Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday hours may vary

Primary Responsibilities
Service Porter & Vehicle Support
- Move and organize vehicles throughout the service department
- Assist technicians and advisors with vehicle flow
- Safely transport customers using dealership shuttle vehicles
- Maintain vehicle inventory organization and appearance
- Support daily dealership operations as needed
Vehicle Washing & Detailing
- Wash and vacuum customer vehicles
- Operate dealership car wash equipment safely
- Ensure vehicles are returned to customers clean and presentable
- Maintain attention to detail and quality standards
Facility & Maintenance Support
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning
- Empty waste containers and maintain shop cleanliness
- Clean up spills and maintain safe working conditions
- Empty oil collection containers and assist with shop organization
- Perform basic building and grounds maintenance as directed
- Inspect facilities and report maintenance concerns to management
- Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of equipment and dealership property
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License required
- Clean driving record preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Automotive experience is helpful but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate
