As our Automotive Quality Compliance Auditor on the night shift, you’ll walk the manufacturing floor of a precision machining operation, verifying that every process and product aligns with automotive and customer-specific requirements. You’ll translate standards into action—protecting product integrity, stabilizing processes, and fueling continuous improvement with the teams that make it all happen.

Your Focus Areas

Audit Execution

  • Plan and conduct internal audits across processes, quality systems, and documentation to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead process, product, and system audits, including layered audits and compliance assessments.
  • Support or participate in customer, supplier, and third-party audits.
  • Confirm implementation of control plans, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and inspection plans.

Compliance and Records

  • Identify nonconformances, record findings, and manage CAPA tracking.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain thorough audit reports and quality documentation.
  • Ensure calibration and inspection records are correct and current.

Manufacturing and Inspection

  • Audit machining operations such as CNC processes, tooling, fixturing, and measurement methods.
  • Assess inspection practices involving GD&T, first article inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final acceptance.
  • Support root-cause work using 5 Whys, Fishbone analysis, and PFMEA reviews.

Collaboration and Improvement

  • Partner with Quality Engineering, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Surface trends, risks, and opportunities across manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Advance initiatives focused on scrap reduction, process capability, and defect prevention.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years in quality auditing or quality assurance within manufacturing.
  • Strong command of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and inspection practices.
  • Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
