What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As our Sales Manager, you will oversee daily sales operations, develop talent, and build strategies to maximize department profitability.
- Strategic Planning: Forecast department goals, objectives, and prepare/administer the annual operating budget to hit target milestones.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, train, and motivate our sales team. You will lead daily training schedules and role-playing sessions (as directed by the GSM) to keep skills sharp.
- Deal Execution: Step in to help sales associates close deals and ensure that, whenever possible, every customer speaks with a manager before leaving the showroom.
- Performance Management: Guide salespeople in setting short- and long-term goals, and actively develop improvement programs for team members trailing their objectives.
- Inventory & Marketing: Recommend optimal new and used vehicle inventory levels to the General Manager, assist with promotional campaigns, and aggressively follow up on online leads to increase marketing ROI.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner closely with F&I, Service, and Parts managers to maintain a seamless, team-oriented dealership environment.
What You'll Need (Qualifications)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of successful experience working as an Automotive Sales Manager.
- Finance Expertise: Experience in Finance & Insurance (F&I) is highly preferred, though not strictly required.
- Background & Licensing: A valid in-state driver's license with a clean driving record (per company standards). Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Professionalism: Ability to provide solid professional references upon request.
