Job Description

The Quick Lane Tire & Auto Service Center is looking for a candidate with a positive attitude and a flair for outstanding customer service.  The Service Advisor is the center of communication for service/repair activities and the liaison between customers and the technicians. Serving as the primary point of contact for all automotive service and repair matters, the Service Advisor must listen to and thoroughly understand customer concerns, arrange for appropriate service/repairs, and set/manage expectations on the part of the customers and the technicians in terms of service delivery. He or she makes sure the customer knows what repairs are needed and what repairs and maintenance are recommended. No one wants to have to bring their car in, but our advisors ensure the customer is satisfied that the vehicle will be repaired right the first time and in the shortest time possible.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record, exceptional customer service abilities. He or she must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Have a positive attitude
  • Greet every customer in a timely and friendly manner
  • Verifying customer information and reason for their visit and then creating a Repair Order
  • Perform a proper walk around the vehicle with a vehicle check list notating any damage, etc.
  • Review the customer’s service history using the necessary criteria to offer recommended services.
  • Retrieve the multipoint inspection from the technician to cover areas of concern or to determine selling opportunities.
  • Update customers on vehicle status and review the multi-point inspection
  • Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations
  • Discuss Ford Pass Rewards
  • Process all phases of Service Contracts and Warranties from submission to payment collection.
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Inform customers that they may be receiving a survey from Ford
  • Complete the check-out process—ensuring the proper form of payment is used
  • Thank the customers for their business
  • Must handle customer concerns/issues
  • Must be a team player while working with co-workers
  • Training others—It’s every team member’s responsibility to share their knowledge to help grow the team in a positive way.
  • Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Willing to work Monday through Friday with some Saturdays

QUALIFICATIONS 

High school diploma or GED required

One year of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred but not required.

Neat, clean, and professional appearance

Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality

Highly professional and dependable

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress

Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff

Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record

Basic computer and internet skills
