Automotive Service Advisor

Jimmy’s Auto Outlet Inc. is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact between customers and our automotive repair team, helping customers understand their vehicle’s repair and maintenance needs while keeping the repair process organized from check-in through completion.

We are looking for someone with strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust with customers while working closely with technicians and management.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome customers and understand their vehicle concerns, service needs, and repair requests
• Review recommended repairs and maintenance and explain them clearly and professionally to customers
• Prepare accurate estimates and repair orders using Mitchell 1
• Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle concerns, diagnostic findings, and recommended repairs
• Present repair recommendations and obtain customer authorization before additional work is performed
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, including changes to repair scope, pricing, and completion times
• Help coordinate parts, technician workflow, and repair priorities
• Review completed repair orders for accuracy before vehicles are released and repairs are invoiced
• Build strong, long-term customer relationships through professional service and follow-up
• Identify appropriate maintenance and repair needs while maintaining a customer-first approach

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of automotive service advisor or service writer experience required
• Proficiency with Mitchell 1 required
• Strong understanding of automotive repair and routine vehicle maintenance
• Ability to understand repair recommendations and explain them clearly to customers
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple repair orders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive service environment
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
• Valid driver’s license
• Professional references required and will be checked

Compensation

Base salary plus commission

Jimmy’s Auto Outlet offers a base salary based on experience and qualifications, along with additional commission earning potential based on performance and service activity.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with Saturday morning availability as needed.
