Automotive Service Advisor

The Automotive Service Advisor at Jones Family of Dealerships plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service within our automotive service department here in Lancaster, PA. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their vehicle service needs are clearly understood, accurately documented, and efficiently resolved. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a positive service experience
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and service needs
• Provide clear explanations and recommendations for necessary repairs and routine maintenance
• Prepare and communicate repair estimates, including cost and expected completion time
• Coordinate closely with technicians to ensure timely and accurate service delivery
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding vehicle status and service updates
• Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints to ensure satisfaction and retention

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Previous experience as an automotive service advisor a plus
• Strong knowledge of vehicles, including common issues and repair procedures
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Accurate documentation and organizational skills
