About the Position

Major Automotive, a fast-growing independent repair shop in Plano, is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor who knows how to take care of customers, communicate value, and produce results.

This is not an entry-level advisor position.

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of professional automotive service advising experience who is confident on the phone, understands vehicle repair, can effectively present technician findings, and knows how to turn great inspections into great customer experiences.

You’ll have a professional shop, strong technicians, quality inspections, training, and the opportunity to earn based on your performance.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and provide an exceptional experience from start to finish
• Answer incoming calls confidently and convert opportunities into appointments
• Listen to customer concerns and properly document their needs
• Review technician inspections and clearly explain recommended repairs
• Build estimates and confidently present repair and maintenance recommendations
• Follow up with customers and keep them informed throughout the repair process
• Build long-term relationships based on trust, communication, and consistency
• Work closely with technicians to maintain an efficient shop workflow
• Prioritize vehicles and help keep technicians productive
• Maintain accurate repair orders and customer records
• Help deliver a smooth, professional experience from write-up to vehicle pickup

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of Service Advisor experience at a professional automotive repair facility
• Strong automotive/mechanical knowledge
• Proven sales and customer-service ability
• Excellent phone and in-person communication skills
• Comfortable presenting and selling recommended repairs
• Strong organization and follow-up skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Valid driver's license
• Dependable and accountable
• Positive energy — negativity doesn't belong here
• No ego — you must be coachable and willing to improve
