Automotive Service Advisor

Nissan of Sumter is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our service team.

We are seeking a professional who understands how to take care of customers, communicate effectively, and keep the repair process moving from write-up through vehicle delivery.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have at least two years of Service Advisor/Writer experience in an automotive service environment. Experience may come from a franchise dealership, independent repair facility, quick-lube business, tire store, or similar automotive service operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers and accurately document their concerns
• Prepare repair orders and clearly communicate recommended services
• Review technician findings and explain repairs in a professional, easy-to-understand manner
• Provide customers with timely updates throughout the repair process
• Obtain customer authorization before completing additional work
• Work closely with technicians, parts personnel, and service management
• Present maintenance and repair recommendations honestly and confidently
• Maintain organized repair orders and accurate customer records
• Follow up with customers and help maintain strong customer satisfaction
• Assist the department in meeting sales, productivity, and customer-retention goals

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of two years of Automotive Service Advisor/Writer experience
• Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
• Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable discussing maintenance, repairs, pricing, and timelines with customers
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Basic computer and automotive service-management-system experience
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Franchise-dealership experience is preferred but not required
