Automotive Service Advisor

Join Our Team!

We are seeking a customer-focused and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive service experience from vehicle check-in through delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of automotive maintenance and repair services.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately assess vehicle service needs.
  • Prepare detailed repair orders, service recommendations, and cost estimates.
  • Explain maintenance requirements, repair procedures, costs, and timelines to customers.
  • Communicate repair needs and technician recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of repairs.
  • Monitor repair progress and provide regular status updates to customers.
  • Schedule service appointments and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Verify completed repairs and ensure all work orders are accurate before vehicle delivery.
  • Review completed services with customers and explain invoices.
  • Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and repair documentation.
  • Promote preventative maintenance services and recommend additional services that benefit the customer and vehicle.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service throughout the repair process.
  • Follow dealership/shop policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Assist with warranty claims and service-related administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in automotive customer service, service advising, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair terminology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and service management software is a plus.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
