Description of the role:
As an Automotive Service Technician at Wynne Ford in Hampton, VA, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities: Candidates for this position must be versatile in skills and tasks performed. You will be working on recalls, general maintenance, and diagnostics. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform quality repair and maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards
- Clearly write and communicate needed repairs/maintenance, and the parts and time needed to repair
- Repair broken or worn mechanical and technological components
- Maintain repair and service records
- Install equipment, components, and systems
- Test vehicles both before and after repair
- Repair electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures
- Other duties may be assigned according to expertise and certifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience as a service technician; A-B Level tech required
- State Inspector's License is preferred
- Working knowledge of shop equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop for prolonged periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be willing to participate in pre-employment background check and drug screen
