Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics efficiently while following manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose and repair gasoline-powered vehicles using factory diagnostic equipment and specialized tools
- Repair engines, transmissions, driveline components, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC systems, and other automotive systems
- Complete factory warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines
- Perform multi-point inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs
- Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation
- Accurately document inspection findings, diagnostics, repair procedures, and completed work
- Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs with Service Advisors
- Maintain productivity while delivering high-quality workmanship
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards
- Stay current on GM, Toyota, and industry repair procedures through ongoing training
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician, Auto Mechanic, or Automotive Repair Technician preferred
- ASE Certifications are a plus but not required
- GM, Toyota, or other OEM dealership experience is preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience repairing engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, steering, brakes, and HVAC systems
- Ability to operate diagnostic scanners and specialized repair equipment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
