Position Summary
----------------
The part-time instructor for Automotive Systems Technology will plan and instruct students in the day and night program, oversee lab activities related to the course, and evaluate student progress and performance.

Minimum Qualifications
----------------------
- Associate degree or higher in Automotive Technology or a related field OR 5 years Automotive Technician experience.
- Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- ASE Certified in areas you are teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
------------------------
- ASE Master certified.
- ASE L1 and G1 certified.
- Successful teaching experience.
Essential Duties
------------------
### ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the Department Chairperson and approved by the Dean.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports roll books etc.
- Make recommendations to Department Chair for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs.
- Construct, administer, and grade examinations.
- Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance.
- Foster fairness and accessibility with all colleagues and students.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Pursue continuous improvement in the areas of subject matter expertise, teaching, and learning the use of educational technology and other areas related to the strategic goals of the college.
- Facilitate the learning process by designing and implementing instructional activities that are appropriate and meaningful and that maximize student outcomes.
