Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Candidates must provide their own professional-grade tools required to perform daily job duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on domestic and import vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid replacements.
- Repair engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, heating and air conditioning, and electrical systems.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
- Complete repairs efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards.
- Perform vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Accurately document repair orders, parts used, and labor performed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and management regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations.
- Stay current on automotive technology through ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional automotive repair experience (preferred).
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience repairing domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must supply your own professional automotive tools.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Certifications (preferred but not required).
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- State inspection or emissions certification (if applicable).
- Ability to perform flat-rate work efficiently.
