Automotive Technician - BMW and Mazda

Basney BMW Mazda is a dealership in South Bend, Indiana. We are seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both foreign and domestic vehicles. The pay for this position is a base plus commission. Basney also offers a number of benefits, such as health insurance and retirement savings contributions.Responsibilities• Perform maintenance and repairs on all types of vehicles, both foreign and domestic.• Diagnose car defects and troubleshoot issues.• Perform brake jobs: wheel bearings, rotors, axle repair, etc.• Disassemble and reassemble engine components as necessary.• Identify and utilize proper tools in order to complete job requirements.• Ensure the quality of all work performed and use of appropriate parts and components.• Track schedule of repairs, findings, and recommended repairs.• Communicate effectively with service advisors and mechanics.Requirements• Automotive or Mechanical Engineering degree/certification a plus• At least 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician• Thorough knowledge of both foreign and domestic vehicles• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle issues• Working knowledge of automotive repair and service processes• Excellent customer service skills• Attention to detail and accuracy• Ability to work in a team environmentEEO StatementBasney BMW Mazda is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
