We are always looking for talented, self-motivated individuals to join our team at McDonald CDJR. Currently, we are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to fill the role of Automotive Master Technician. A qualified individual will play a key role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are in top shape by diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities

As an Automotive Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles with advanced systems.
  • Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and more.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and safety issues.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technologies to pinpoint and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors about vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
  • Ensure all work is completed to industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Certification as an State of Michigan Technician (or equivalent).
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced vehicle systems and diagnostics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an automotive repair shop or dealership.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, software, and repair manuals.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions.
