Job Description:
Car Center is a growing company with a team of Mechanical/Service Department employees with a growth & team-work mindset and drive. We work together to uphold the 6 Core Values of Car Center (below). We require a vehicle inspection with each and every vehicle to keep customers informed of component wear & tear, as well as vehicle needs. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependability, and strong knowledge and applicability.

Schedule
  • Monday through Friday (7:45a - 5pm)
  • 6 paid holidays per year
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Perform a variety of automotive repairs and maintenance services including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, drivability concerns, and other light mechanical repairs
  • Conduct detailed vehicle inspections and accurately document recommended repairs, maintenance items, and safety concerns
  • Quality check each vehicle prior to delivery
  • Use diagnostic tools and testing procedures to identify customer concerns and support repair recommendations
  • Ensure all repairs and services are completed properly and vehicles are road-ready prior to delivery
  • Collaborate with service advisors/writers and fellow technicians to maintain efficient workflow and timely communication throughout the repair process
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding repairs as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following shop procedures and safety standards
  • Deliver dependable, high-quality repairs with attention to detail and professionalism
  • Maintain a team mindset in assisting other technicians and Body Shop
 
Other Requirements
  • 3+ experience minimum 
  • State of Michigan Certification (must be maintained)
  • Tools necessary to complete repairs 
  • Buy-In to our Core Values
  • Comfortable using scan tools & performing testing procedures
  • Strong work ethic with consistent attendance, accountability, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (must be insurable)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while treating customer vehicles with care and professionalism
  • ASE Certifications (preferred)
