Automotive Technician (Hourly)

About the Role:

The Automotive Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of vehicles by performing thorough diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. This position requires a deep understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC. The technician will work closely with customers and service advisors to accurately identify vehicle issues and provide effective solutions. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount to maintain high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the role contributes to extending vehicle lifespan and enhancing driver safety through expert technical service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hiring A, B, and C Level Technicians State inspection experience a +
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification.
• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturer-specific diagnostic software and tools.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, and fluid checks.
• Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems efficiently.
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and team members.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations while performing repairs and maintenance.
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous training.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday schedule.
