Our client, a trusted, family-owned air-conditioned and heated automotive repair shop is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician-Level B to join their team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of repair and maintenance services on various vehicle makes and models, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal operation. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional automotive service while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills further and work with cutting-edge automotive technology.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
Location: Addison, IL
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Repair and replace automotive components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively on foreign and domestic vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with the team and under the supervision of Master technician.

Requirements
- Prior automotive repair background with a focus on automotive service excellence.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmission repair, suspension repair, and electrical diagnostics.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read schematics and utilize diagnostic software for accurate troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver's License
