We're a very busy shop and need your help to propel us to the next level.

The Position

Community Automotive Repair is hiring an Experienced Automotive Technician (Level 2 / B-Tech) to keep our workload moving and repairs done right. You’ll diagnose concerns, complete quality repairs, and document your work clearly so the team and customer stay aligned.

Key responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance (oil/filter service, fluid changes)
- Tire mounting/balancing and alignment
- Use diagnostic tools/equipment to troubleshoot vehicle systems
- Repair/replace battery & charging systems, brakes, steering/suspension
- Service drivetrain/powertrain, HVAC, coolant systems, and major engine components
- Repair exhaust components (including welding when needed)
- Record logical cause-and-effect notes for each job

Required qualifications:
- 2–3 years of professional automotive technician experience
- State certification required
- ASE certification preferred (or willingness to pursue)

If you’re ready to bring solid skills to a busy shop, apply today.

Your Typical Shift

You’ll work onsite at 5484 West River Drive Northeast, Comstock Park, MI, on a consistent full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (42.5 hours/week). The day starts with organizing your work flow and the morning is typically mixed with inspections, tests, services, and repairs. During the afternoon we focus on completing projects, maintenance, and repairs. Expect a steady mix of straightforward jobs and tougher inspections, with time set aside to write up what you found and what fixed it. You’ll coordinate with other techs when a second set of eyes helps, and you’ll stay focused on clean, safe work that meets shop standards. By the end of the day, you’ll close out notes, line up what’s next, and keep work flowing in a fast-paced shop.
