Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex problems, and using diagnostic tools effectively. You'll work on engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems, ensuring each vehicle meets safety and performance standards. Your full-time schedule will consist 42.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter services, tire mounting and balancing, and fluid changes, is essential. You'll also be required to effectively use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues across multiple systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC. Experience in repairing and replacing battery and charging systems, major engine components, coolant systems, and exhaust components—possibly involving welding—is crucial.A strong ability to document logical cause-and-effect relationships in your work will enhance workflow. Additionally, you should be comfortable using both hand and power tools and possess 2 to 3 years of professional experience as an automotive technician.
