Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Rochester, NY | $22–$35/hour | Full-Time, 40–45 Hours/Week

We’re an established, locally owned automotive repair shop in Rochester with a reputation built on honest recommendations, quality repairs, and taking care of customers the right way. We have a busy shop, loyal customers, and a team that takes pride in doing great work without cutting corners.

We’re looking for an Automotive Technician / Mechanic who has a solid foundation of experience and wants an opportunity to continue learning and advancing in the field.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work on a wide variety of makes and models and handle both routine maintenance and more involved repairs, including:

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical concerns

• Brake, steering, and suspension repairs

• Engine diagnostics and performance work

• Preventive maintenance and general repairs

• Tire, wheel, and alignment-related service

• Starting, charging, and battery systems

• Exhaust and drivetrain repairs

• New York State inspections, if licensed

• Clearly communicating findings and recommended repairs to the service team

We want technicians who care about fixing vehicles correctly, finding the real problem, and giving customers work they can trust.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate has:

• 2+ years of automotive repair experience preferred

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team

• A commitment to quality workmanship

• A desire to continue learning and advancing as an automotive technician

• Valid driver’s license

A New York State Inspector’s License is a plus.

ASE certifications are also a plus and will be considered when determining compensation.

Pay & Schedule

$22–$35 per hour, based on experience, skills, certifications, and capabilities.

This is a full-time position averaging 40–45 hours per week.
