You will perform general repairs and diagnosis with some assistance. These repairs include but are not limited to light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (starters and alternators), HVAC systems, steering & suspension systems.Qualifications & Requirements3+ years of previous automotive technician experience requiredCertified in factory training is a plus!AAP, ASE and A/C certifications are a plus!CSI and Quality scores above regional averageMust have basic toolsMust be proficient in all vehicle maintenance servicesMust be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasksMust be a minimum of eighteen years of ageMust have a valid driver's license and safe driving recordMust be able to pass pre-employment screening (background)4-day work week availableClosed SundaysCompetitive payEmployee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service repairsPaid Holidays and PTOState Inspection trainingOpportunities to join our community service initiativesInternal career advancement opportunitiesIn this role, you willDocument all work performed and recommended on assigned repair orderMake accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicleCommunicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeMaintain technician proficiency as specified by DARCARS standardsConduct road test to determine work needed and to confirm work was successfully completed when necessary and practicalPerform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehiclesPerform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance servicesUtilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and managementParticipate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools to continuously expand your knowledge of new technologyMaintain manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above the DARCARS specified goal(s) in service for district, regional and national scoresComplete the work, notations and time-keeping necessary to the successful completion of warranty repair orders and the filing of warranty claimsReport to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employeesTake care to ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being servicedUnderstand and complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etcComply with all federal, state and local laws, as well as company policy, regarding safeguarding all customer vehicles, property and informationOther duties may be assigned by managementThis job advertisement in no way states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by this employee.
